The new Cytation 3 Cell Imaging Multi-Mode Reader is a first combination reader/imaging system with multi-detection and automated digital microscopy features bundled together in a single instrument.
The new Cytation 3 Cell Imaging Multi-Mode Reader provides phenotypic cellular information as well as quantitative data by making use of patented Hybrid Technology that incorporates both high-sensitivity filter based and flexible monochromator based optics.
The automated digital microscopy module in Cytation 3 features brightfield imaging and color switching using the standard RGB cubes with an additional position available. The incorporated autofocus, autoexposure and other software capabilities increases the throughput of CCD based image capture, cell counting and other tasks which otherwise is quite hard to perform with manual microscopy systems. The company’s intuitive Gen5 Data Analysis Software integrated into Cytation 3 is simple, easy to use and requires minimal training for operation.
The multi-mode Cytation 3 microplate reader measures absorbance, fluorescence and luminescence detection and the use of advanced optics provides the desired assay flexibility. Cytation 3 is capable of handling 6 to 384 well microplates and microscope slides as well. The device also includes uniform temperature control features, variable shaking modes, CO2 and O2 regulation suitable for live cell assays. BioStack Multiplate Stacker is optional and can increase the throughput and walkaway automation of up to 50 standard microplates to help Cytation 3 further simplify research and assay development.
